ASC What You Can Do For Your Community!

A Sweet Creation Youth Organization (aka ASC Youth) is a nonprofit youth organization that was founded in the Olneyville section of Providence Rhode Island 16 years ago. ASC Youth Organization works with young people between the ages of 12 and 25.

We have mentored  young people through organizations such as Goodwill Industries, Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Ocean State & Youth Build Providence as well as The Met High School. ASC Youth serves the community in various forms of service such as Feeding Families For The Holidays, #LunchBag & after school programs. ASC Youth has partnered with DCYF/Juvenile Court in Providence to mentor low level offenders as they are often required to do community service. One of our more popular programs is Phenomenal Woman's Movement (PWM) which is encouragement, education enlightenment and empowerment for young women of color. Helping them to think outside of the box realize their issues deal with them and then grow from the experience to be better young women. The ever-growing popular program has become the formally known civil rights and social justice classes that are now renamed diversity and inclusion. These classes have been facilitated at Blackstone valley in Pawtucket Rhode Island, as well as conversations had at Johnson and Wales university, partnered with non-violence training young people go on a deep dive discussing racial justice issues and then making realistic plans so that they can better the communities that they live in. This is done through service learning project also aka community service projects. These community service projects have taken our youth all the way from Boston Massachusetts to San Juan Puerto Rico and practically any state in between. We have helped during the Flint water crisis as well as during hurricane Maria. And although those may not seem like racial justice issues when disasters occur they affect BIPOC communities the most. As those communities were already devastated pre-disaster. All of our programs are free to students and there families.
